THE ITALIAN JOB
About The Italian Job
Our original rally, fully booked in 2007, 2008 and 2009, takes its inspiration from the classic 60’s crime caper.
Eligible vehicles are anything that costs up to £200. A few people have also turned up in original minis, and who could blame them... St Bernards Pass, Turin, Monte Carlo... all the way singing 'self preservation society'!
The Italian Job Route
Day 1: Boulogne to Besançon (Approximately 420 miles)
We all meet in a large car park on the outskirts of Boulogne at 8.30am where all the teams admire / laugh / take bets on the durability of each others vehicles! The first days route takes us through the Champagne region, and on through the French countryside to the ancient city of Besançon.
Day 2: Besançon to Turin (Approximately 250 miles)
Today we set out past scenic Lake Geneva and then on over stunning mountain passes through the Alps, including the awesome Grand St Bernard. Having completed the days challenges (and assuming you still have sufficient clutch, brakes and nerves intact!) we then head on towards Turin.
Day 3: Turin to Nice (Approximately 200 miles)
Starting in Turin, the route then heads south to the coast via the magnificent Col du Tende and the opulence of Monte Carlo, before finishing along the French Riviera in Nice!
