Crumball Rally
THE ITALIAN JOB

About The Italian Job

Our most popular event and a sell-out each time we have run it in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2016. A traditional banger rally meaning that your chariot of choice has to cost no more than £200. Loosely themed on the ever popular original film, it will certainly give you a long weekend to remember and an opportunity to visit some fabulous locations without having to spend a fortune in time or money.

The Italian Job Route

This route truly has contrasts, from the open French countryside, the superb Lake Geneva, Swiss mountains and winding passes such as the St. Bernards Pass, where Charlie Croker and his gang are relieved of their cars by the Mafia. Add in other unforgettable film locations and the exciting traffic chaos of Turin, with a spectacular scenic third driving day to Monaco and onto Nice for the finish, there really is something for everyone.

Day 1: Reims to Besançon (Approximately 240 miles)

An early start in a large car park on the outskirts of Reims where all the teams can admire / laugh / take bets on the durability of each other's vehicles! The first day's route takes us through the Champagne region, and on through the French countryside to the ancient city of Besançon.

Day 2: Besançon to Turin (Approximately 250 miles)

Today we set out past scenic Lake Geneva and over stunning mountain passes through the Alps, including the awesome Grand St Bernard. Having completed the day's challenges (and assuming you still have sufficient clutch, brakes and nerves intact!) we then head on towards Turin.

Day 3: Turin to Nice (Approximately 200 miles)

Starting in Turin, the route then heads south to the coast via the magnificent and scenic mountain roads and the opulence of Monte Carlo, before finishing along the French Riviera in Nice!
